There is no title for this post

I took Sayde to her new school yesterday to register her for Kindergarten. "Shouldn't she already be in Kindergarten?" you may be asking yourself. Yes, she should, but you'll have to take that up with Lennie's shoulder.

His surgery is scheduled for next week so you'd better act quick because this shoulder is attatched to a very grouchy and noncompliant PITA (that would be 'Pain In The Ass' for all of you outside the medical field - now you know). My husband is every nurses' worst nightmare and it only goes downhill from there when he's not allowed to eat. When he had his thumb surgery in Colorado a few years back, it was scheduled for 7am, but ended up being delayed over and over until he finally went under the knife at 1am. I've never seen a hospital staff so happy to see a patient leave. And the bastard ate my snickers bar on the trip home.

But I digress. Now that we are safe and sound back at home from Cleveland, Sayde is ready to start school. I'll let you know when I have my nervous breakdown. I'm guessing it will be sometime tommorow morning when she's waving goodbye from the window of a big yellow bus.

I think most husbands are terrible patients. Mine has been home sick for two days. His stomach hurts. That makes him sick. So sick he can't fetch his own gatorade.
Good luck tomorrow!

I can honestly tell you, as a mom to four kids, the oldest in her second year of college and the youngest in first grade, I cry at every drop-off for the first week. Without fail. Just KNOWING my oldest was beginning her first class last week at 11:00 was enough to get me all teared up.

But the best part is when they come home, all tired but shinning with what they discovered that day, and SO happy to see you, too - that is one of the best moments in the world.

Enjoy it - it goes by WAY too fast :o)

We hope your husband's surgery goes well and your daughter's first day of school is wonderful!

I think all husbands are PITA's, although some more so than others.

Sounds like you have a lot going on! I hope your daughter's first day went great!

Good luck with taking Sayde to her first day! My 20 month old just started a two day program and I had a hard time not crying so I know how it feels. He was happy to run off and play with the toys, he never looked back!

Seems like just yesterday as I was waving from the window...however my bus was short...

Tell Lennie not to worry and that I will eat for him…I’m awesome like that…
