3rd Painting

Here's what I've been up to lately. I finished the Madonna and Child, which I adapted from Raphael's originial from the Sistine Chapel. This one is displayed in the Friedman kitchen, on a chair, in the corner.

I love the colors - the rich blue; I want to rub my fingers on it. That sounds a little weird but, lol, that's not how I mean it. For once.

I also love how their eyes dominate the painting - I look to the other details (the lighting details on the fabric, for example) but then I am pulled back to their eyes.

fabulous!

So this is what you've ditched blogging for? I like it, you've got talent, my dear. I feel like ditching blogging for awhile but I can't even fingerpaint.

I'm sure that a few of Raphael's early works were also displayed on kitchen chairs. :)

Love the Madonna and Child! I love catholic religious art paintings. You can view a few on my blog if you like that I've taken in the shrines around Philly. www.patrickhartmercedarian.blogspot.com

I carouse blogs on blogger.com occasionally to see what people are doing and saying on blogs and you're came up after about 5 clicks. Sounds like you're having fun being a stay-at-home mom. My sisters and sisters-in-law haven't had a chance to do that yet, but after kid 3, it might have to happen. Love your work! you are quite talented. Ever thought about doing a commission for a church?

Blessings and grace on from Our Lady of Mercy on your work, family and blogging,

Patrick
